Intern will work with park staff to interpret the giant sequoias and other park features to visitors of all ages.
Intern will research, develop and present interpretive programs including a giant sequoia walk, campfire program, children's programs including Junior Rangers and Junior Cubs and possibly other interpretive programs.
There may be opportunities to assist park staff in other aspects of park management.
Intern may also complete a relevant project.

Expected Dates: May 23, 2023 - August 19, 2023
Training Provided: Interpretive techniques and program development; park orientation; wildlife awareness/protection.
Numerous books will be sent before arrival to begin preparation for the summer.
Educational/Recreational Opportunities: Opportunity for field trips to nearby state parks and to other trip destinations such as Yosemite National Park, Lake Tahoe, Mono Lake and San Francisco.
Additional opportunity to complete an independent project (possible).
