Key Responsibilities:
Develops an area business plan organizing the array of responsibilities, activities, and information to create a territory action plan designed to grow our core business by meeting margin and volume targets.
This plan will be developed with sales and operations team input.
Once the plan is developed, execute this plan with focus and determination.
Develops in concert with assigned Client Service/Professional Service Team Annual Strategic Key Account plans, including demographics, economics, performance, potential, actionable items, tracking, and reporting for the territory.
Creates, maintains, and executes a customer-focused business development plan for all high-potential customers.
Offers strategic problem-solving solutions to assigned accounts, creating mutually beneficial opportunities for Trans Ova Genetics and the key accounts.
The program's objective is to impact product demand while positively increasing client loyalty.
Able to identify needs and use a consultive sales approach to close sales and create achievable expectations.
Works closely with Marketing Communications and Professional Service Teams on delivering and merchandising value-added results.
Works with the account team (ROM, PST, and CSR) to conduct regular account profiling to identify customer needs and assess current and future customer growth opportunities.
Contributes to team selling efforts by planning call cycles with others to maximize the use of the team’s time and resources and ensuring appropriate account follow-up.
Calls on targeted prospective clients and is able to quantify and qualify opportunities to drive investments to secure growth and business relationships.
Maintains a monthly prospective client list, updated with the status of planned activities and communications logged into Trans Ova’s CRM.
Calls on all influential personnel in assigned accounts.
This includes but is not limited to, owners, herd managers, and associate vets.
Assists in coordinating service/business activities of the Professional Service Team and key account Client Service Representative.
Serves as the local key account expert, sharing expertise with the assigned Professional Service Team and Client Service Representative.
Utilizes excellent presentation skills to conduct educational training on products and exhibits.
Build relationships and influence with key collaborators, including veterinarians, breed associations, extension, and university personnel.
Assists with the collection of accounts receivable.
Maintains a professional image reflective of the overall Trans Ova branding objective with internal and external customers, including dress, conversation, and decision-making in business and social settings.
Follow Trans Ova’s policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
The position will work with both beef and dairy producers but will have a larger dairy focus on a weekly basis.
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a scientific or business discipline, is required, or at least five years of a successful outside sales track record.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Ability to travel extensively required (>60%) and being out in the territory with customers, prospects, or team members most days of the work week.
Other skills/experience: A minimum of three (3) years of related sales or consulting experience is desired in the bovine industry; this could include animal health, nutrition, genetics, or other similar bovine industries.
General knowledge of the dairy industry is required.
Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) and proficiency with a computer including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word required.
A high degree of professionalism.
Experience selling to Dairy operations in a defined territory is highly desired.

This candidate will also be able to sell or possess the desire to learn to sell an enterprise model for ART to dairies in the defined territory.
This position will require the canidate to live in the territory defined above.
It is preferred that they live within a 3-hour drive of Turlock, California, but all candidates that live within or are willing to relocate to the region are encouraged to apply.
