Cogir Senior Living is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and compassionate Memory Care Director to join the team in our vibrant Retirement Community.
Our Revere Memory Care Director (Memory Care Manager) is responsible for the overall implementation, delivery, and coordination of resident care services for the residents in the Memory Care neighborhood.
They provide ongoing programming of activities designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.
The Memory Care Director is also responsible for training and supervising all care staff, and support the care plan execution, and maintaining communication with families.

What will you do as a Memory Care Director? Supervise, develop, and schedule the care staff according to the company's policies, procedures, and standards.
Responsible for the overall Cogir's Signature Lifestyle programming and engagement of residents in Revere Memory Care in collaboration with the Lifestyles team.
Establish and maintain the medication program with oversight by the Resident Services Director (RSD).
Assist the Health and Wellness Director to perform assessments and reassessments according to policies.
Support resident distressed behavior through validation, care plan non-pharmacologic prevention, and intervention for resident distress.
Ensure resident records and charting is current and up to date.
Maintain a high degree of resident satisfaction through consistent delivery of high-quality services.
Act as the contact for non-clinical issues related to resident care in Memory Care.
Provide emotional support and education to families experiencing dementia.
Understand the community's care regulations along with state-specific regulations.
Provide assistance with activities of daily living to the residents as needed.
Provide training and orientation to all Care Partners and Medication Care Partners.
Coach Caregivers to the culture and standards of Cogir Revere Memory Care.
Maintain current departmental policies, procedures, and licenses, in accordance with company, Federal, State, and local requirements.
Help provide a plan of activities appropriate to the needs of the residents.
Lead or assist with group, social, religious, indoor, and outdoor activities, exercise, as well as assist with outings.
Assist the Resident Lifestyle Director to prepare a monthly calendar of activities displayed in a prominent location, visible to residents and visitors in Memory Care.
If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat: A degree in gerontology, nursing, social work, or in a related field is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of Dementia experience in a supervisory role is required.
CDP certification is preferred but not required.
3 - 5 years of experience in assisted living and memory care is preferred.
Knowledge of various computer systems, particularly Excel and Word, and comfortable learning new programs.
A High degree of accuracy in all assignments; ability to manage time effectively and take initiative, employing professional ethics, and good judgment.
Good communication skills, strong teamwork, and the ability to motivate.
Ability to work evenings and/or weekends and on call.
A current state driver’s license is required.
