We believe the key to our success in providing a signature experience is a dynamic, fun-loving, cohesive and collaborative team! Job Overview The Vehicle Maintenance Manager is responsible for all aspects of the Vehicle Maintenance Shop operations.
Duties including but not limited to staff selection and scheduling, maintaining records (employee files, vehicle maintenance and inspection logs, CARB logs, DOORs accuracy, PUC and DOT and CHP inspections and compliance, vehicle registration ETC.
), payroll entry and management, staff training & development, operation of maintenance shop tools and machinery, supervisory and or disciplinary actions in regards to performance of vehicle maintenance employees.
As a team member of the Skyline Bear Valley Resorts leadership group, participation and contribution in the development and implementation of the Skyline Bear Valley Resorts strategies and plans is critical.
Duties · Hands on mechanic work on company’s rolling stock: heavy equipment, trucks, buses, snowmobiles, Snow cats, etc.
· Safety training logs and weekly safety meetings with different topics for Vehicle Maintenance staff.
· Fabrication, welding and metal structure repair · Operating snow removal equipment or heavy equipment (front end loaders, Dozers ETC.
) during winter months experience required.
· Working with heavy equipment and vehicle parts on a year-round basis · Ensure compliance with OSHA, CARB and other laws governing personnel environment and equipment safety for the purpose of ensuring safety in the workplace · Participate in the development of department budget for each fiscal year and be responsible to meet the financial and operational objectives for department · Inventory control (equipment, uniforms, tools, parts etc) · Training in regards to, operation and maintenance of vehicles, process, procedures and safety.
· Completion of vehicle maintenance payroll through the supervision of time cards, hand scans, schedules, and attendance, as well as manual data entry into payroll system, editing and approval of hours worked · Conduct/execute employee performance evaluations in a timely, fair, detailed and accurate manner to meet company human resources requirements.
· Ordering and receiving products/parts/tools/materials.
· Effectively using the company’s procurement software system and managing purchases and invoices in a timely and efficient manner.
· This position works five days per week including all weekends and holidays during winter operational season, and generally four ten-hour days a week during non-winter months.
Changes in schedule determined by Director of Mountain Operations.
