Summary of Job Purpose
The Snow Play Manager oversees the rental, sales, and daily operations of the Snow Play Center.
This position will be responsible for employee training, promoting a professional work environment, care and maintenance of equipment, and overall quality of the Snow Play environment.
It is important for the Snow Play Manager to have the ability to maintain an asset retention system, liability standards, and a high level of commitment to safety.
Snow Play Manager must have a passion for the industry and the ability to train, lead, and support a fun and engaged Snow Play staff.
This position is a KEY member of the Dodge Ridge Team.

Supervise the Snow Play staff and responsible for the completion of all tasks assigned.
Schedule, motivate, and support department staff to accomplish established goals and objectives.
Promote a team-oriented culture and demonstrate a collaborative attitude both within the departments and companywide.
Responsible for balancing cash drawers at the close of each day.
Assist with the development, progression and maintenance of departmental training; including accurate documentation of training techniques, certifications, implementation and evaluating for effectiveness Positively manage Snow Play staff, promoting a safe, guest-focused, and enjoyable work environment while adhering to department labor budgetary requirements.
Educate and enforce Dodge Ridge safety rules and policies.
Work within an established budget to meet and exceed goals.
Maintain inventory of rental Tubes and sleds at the Snow Play Center.
Maintain any appropriate records set forth by the company policies and procedures and keep daily records organized and collected.
Maintain a tremendous level of organization and cleanliness; adhering to and accountable for the proper care, storage, and safety procedures regarding the use of tools and equipment.
Shoveling snow, sometimes deep, heavy wet snow weighing more than 50lbs per shovel load.
Job Qualifications Must be 18 or over Must have prior supervisory experience and possess leadership skills Excellent organizational skills, possess the ability to work in a fast-paced, task-oriented environment and maximize use of time Basic mathematical skills.
Be able to lift heavy and awkward items (up to 50 lbs.
) and be able to walk on uneven ground.
General ski and snow industry knowledge preferred.
Must possess a valid driver's license and meet the Motor Vehicle Record qualifications as outlined in the Fleet Safety Program.
Job Attitudes Provide a positive and helpful attitude towards all our customers and all Dodge Ridge employees.
Support the Company’s policies and procedures.
Support the harmony and goodwill of the Company.
Be an effective team leader and motivator for the department.
Work Schedules Weather conditions and the number of guests play a large role in the work scheduling of Dodge Ridge employees.
When conditions are normal, you may be expected to work 40 up to 48 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
During busy periods, you may be expected to work six (6) days a week.
You must arrange for transportation to work so that you arrive at your designated workstation at the scheduled time.
Keep in mind that you will often be required to drive on hilly, snowpacked, and icy road surfaces.
Working Conditions At any time during the ski season, Dodge Ridge employees are often required to perform their tasks in high winds, heavy snowfalls, low visibility, rain, and extremely cold or warm temperatures.
Work is typically outside working directly with resort guests and other resort staff members.
It can be noisy, cold, wet, or humid.
You may be expected to work in high places and frequently you will work around moving objects.
Uniforms A professional appearance at Dodge Ridge is required.
Please wear your name tag and uniform at all times during your scheduled shift.
We will provide most of the uniform for you to do your job.
However, you will be required to provide some items as part of your job, as listed below.
The quality, color, and style of the items must be approved by your manager prior to being worn to work.
All hats worn must have the Dodge Ridge logo while on shift.
Items You Must Provide Winter clothing Headgear Warm boots with vibram soles (Sorrels or equivalent).
Dodge Ridge will provide ice cleats Goggles Gloves Sunscreen Ski or snowboarding equipment that meets Dodge Ridge’s binding function test.
The skiing/riding employee represents a model for safe skiing for both the guest and fellow employees.
You are required to be aware of all safe skiing procedures, trail closures, and out-of-bounds policies.
