Summary of Job Purpose
The Upcountry Campground Supervisor is responsible for assisting in effective oversight of the daily operations of the Upcountry Campgrounds (Clark Fork Complex and Brightman Complex).
This role is responsible for overall maintenance of the campground facilities, supporting staff and fee collection.
An essential function of this position is performing the job duties of a Campground Host, thus setting an example by acting as a model camper and following all rules and regulations.
The Upcountry Campground Supervisor is responsible for supporting the ongoing compliance with all Forest Service Campground Concessionaire requirements, policies, and regulations as well as company policy and procedure.

Supervise the daily operations of all Dodge Ridge operated Campgrounds.
Assist as directed in ensuring that all employees receive the training, support, guidance, feedback and resources necessary to successfully perform their job.
Ability to work independently in a remote location.
Act as a Campground Host and perform the essential job duties of a Campground Host.
Must be observant for activities within the campground requiring immediate attention and communicate to manager.
Produce a safety focused staffing culture and ensures safe working habits at all times and strict adherence to the Dodge Ridge Safety Policies.
Assist in ensuring accurate fee collection in all aspects of Clark Fork Complex and Brightman Complex.
Assist in the overall campground facilities maintenance, functionality and cleanliness of all upcountry operated campgrounds ensuring standards are consistently met.
Regularly visit all upcountry campgrounds, ensuring campground facilities and staff are meeting standards.
As directed work with the Campground Director to complete repairs.
Maintain an engaged, active and focused staff by demonstrating a positive example of company rules and policies.
Manage accurate maintenance supply inventory within budget guidelines, communicating and updates needs to Manager.
Demonstrate an on-going commitment to delivering excellent guest service and to ensure that staff members are delivering excellent guest service.
Operate vehicles in and out of the campgrounds.
Maintains and enhances a guest focused culture in all areas of responsibility.
Job Qualifications Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; and the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Must possess sufficient written and verbal communication skills to be able to interact with a diverse general public, guests, co-workers, employees, vendors, and agencies in a professional manner, developing rapport and enhancing business relationships.
Must have legible handwriting.
Ability to work independently and remotely.
Requires the ability to analyze complex problems, evaluate alternatives and make sound decisions as to course of action.
Ability to multi-task.
Prior supervisory experience required.
Ability to learn and understand USFS laws and regulations.
Proven safe working habits.
Requires knowledge of and experience in general accounting principles.
Must possess conflict resolution skills.
Ability to effectively communicate and delegate work plans and team goals to a staff.
Ability to provide quality customer service and to ensure that staff members are providing quality customer service.
Good manual and physical dexterity in combination with good physical fitness.
Ability to react calmly and quickly in emergency situations.
Requires certification in Basic First Aid.
Must possess a valid driver's license and meet the Motor Vehicle Record qualifications as outlined in the Fleet Safety Program.
Ability to lift heavy objects weighing up to and in excess of 50 lbs.

Work Schedules Weather conditions and the number of guests play an important role in the scheduling of campground employees.
When conditions are normal you can expect to work up to 40 hours per week.
During busy periods you may be expected to work overtime if needed.
You can expect to work most weekends and holidays when the campgrounds are open.
We will attempt to offer consecutive days off and accommodate special scheduling needs, but we can not guarantee that we will be able to satisfy all requests.
You must arrange for transportation to work so that you arrive at your scheduled work station on time.
As you arrange for transportation please keep in mind that you may be required to travel over hilly snow packed or icy surfaces, so schedule accordingly.
Working Conditions Campground employees are often required to perform their tasks in bad weather.
At any time, Dodge Ridge employees are often required to perform their tasks in high winds, heavy snow falls, low visibility, rain and extremely cold or warm temperatures.
Uniforms A professional appearance at Dodge Ridge is required.
Please wear your name tag and uniform at all times during your scheduled shift.
We will provide most of the uniform for you to do your job.
However, you will be required to provide some items as part of your job, as listed below.
The quality, color, and style of the items must be approved by your manager prior to being worn to work.
All hats worn must have the Dodge Ridge logo while on shift.
