JOB SUMMARY:
Are you an experienced leader with a passion for food safety? At Sensient Natural Ingredients, we are looking to welcome a QC Manager at our Turlock, California location to be a part of a continuous improvement focused management team.
Do you love coaching, and relish the opportunity to provide education and help drive food safety culture on the plant floor? This position will report to the Senior Food Safety and Quality Manager and help drive and improve the Food Safety, Sanitation, Supplier Approval, Product Quality and Customer Complaint programs at Sensient Natural Ingredients.
You will work closely with all levels of management and hourly personnel, engaging company employees in these programs.
Do you enjoy identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects? You will be expected to identify opportunities to continually improve the effectiveness of the quality management system, and implement solutions to support continuous improvement within SNI quality programs.
The QC Manager is an active member of the Sensient Natural Ingredients Food Safety and Quality Team.
As such, they will be expected to facilitate a pleasant and inclusive work environment for the entire team, be involved in the business, help recognize and celebrate successes, and challenge team members to be better than they thought possible.
Overall, they will assist Quality Management in creating and maintaining growth and development of fellow team members, and building a food safety culture across all departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be a leader Coach team members on performance, complete employee performance reviews, make merit recommendations and participate in recruitment.
Serve as an organizational resource for knowledge around HACCP, FMSA, Food Defense, and GFSI auditing schemas.
Prioritize and drive process improvement initiatives throughout the organization to achieve organizational KPI's and ensure customer satisfaction.
Direct supervision of Food Safety Coordinator and one or more Sanitation and Quality Supervisors.
In order to do so, we need your solid experience coaching and developing a successful team, and maintaining open lines of communication with peers across multiple functional areas.
You will help drive food safety Support a strong food safety culture.
Develop employee understanding of procedures and the importance of food safety down to the plant floor.
Manage, develop and improve QC processes and procedures with a focus on standard work.
Ensure compliance with FSVP, FSMA, GMP, HACCP and BRCGS programs.
Oversee on-going quality and specification reviews of existing inventory, in-coming raw materials and new products.
Manage the QC Hold areas including product review and disposition.
Use your knowledge to recognize and implement improvement opportunities.
In order to do this, we need you to bring experience and passion for food safety and the ability to seek out and implement best practices.
You will be in a customer facing role Direct contact with Account Managers and Customers in reviewing, investigating and resolving customer complaints as well as assisting with customer audits.
Assist with technical and regulatory documents and other customer facing documents.
Collaborate with customer service and accounting to verify replacement product orders and ensure credits are completed in a timely manner.
