Overview:
The Shop Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shop, including the safety and efficiency of the staff, equipment, and processes.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee, monitor, and inspect all equipment repairs to ensure best practices, policies and safety regulations are followed and repairs are completed promptly.
· Oversee the training, development, and performance of Shop team members.
· Determine schedules, sequences and assignment for work activities based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skills of technician.
· Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary measures.
· Implement and enforce shop policies and procedures.
· Document warranty information for warranty repairs
· Perform team member evaluations.
· Perform repairs and preventative maintenance services on class 8 equipment.
· Maintain documentation of all work performed on repair orders.
· Perform Department of Transport Truck inspections and safety system checks.
Troubleshoot, Inspect, Test, Diagnose, Repair, and Replace all systems and components as needed to ensure compliance of all safety regulations for equipment.
Qualifications:
· Must be able to provide the tools required to perform the position responsibilities of this level excluding those provided by the company.
· Understand, communicate, read, and write the English language.
· Lift 50 lbs.
on a consistent basis and 95 lbs.
on a frequent basis to mount tires
· Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams proficiently.
· Proficient with computer diagnostics
· Class A CDL (preferred, required at some locations)
· Ability to work overtime/on- call as needed.
· Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment as needed.
· In depth knowledge of Class 8 tractor maintenance processes
· Strong problem-solving skills
· Strong leadership ability
· Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
· Valid driver’s license required, CDL preferred (required at some locations)
· Min 2 years Diesel Mechanic/Technician exp preferred.
· Shop Management experience required.
1+ years Leadership experience preferred

Pay Range:$ 79,139.
