Areas of responsibility are to keep the plant clean and sanitary at all times.
The processing cleanup person always adheres to all USDA, GMP, and safety regulations as well as CDI’s own standards of excellence.
Support and enforce QA, GMP, Safety policies and procedures, and production needs.
“Food Safety and Quality” are the responsibilities of this position.
Essential Functions Responsible for cleaning and sanitation of Plants in accordance with CDI Sanitation Program Responsible for keeping all floors, walls, and pipes clean.
Responsible for foaming down equipment.
Responsible for taking samples of filters when they visually appear to be dirty.
Ensure COP tanks and Sanitation Bins meet Regulatory and internal requirements, including but not limited to titration of chemical.
Site wide PPE and GMP distribution locations are adequately stocked and clean.
Ensure chemical jugs, containers and dispensers are all properly labeled in accordance with OSHA and CDI requirements.
Responsible for knowing different cleaning chemicals and in what situations to use those chemicals.
Responsible for CIP Validation completion and goals working with Chemco and other CDI Teams.
Ensure Regulatory, 3rd Party and Customer Audit findings are addressed and corrected.
Respond to Environmental Monitoring OOS results, ensuring proper policies are followed.
Involved in Root Cause Analysis Investigations relative to Finished Products and Environmental results.
Assist in Unplanned Events, ensuring the process, products and Environment are protected and returned to hygienic conditions before production resumes.
Assist in Dryer Major’s, ensuring PM’s including filters, boots and other critical parts of the drying process are verified before production resumes.
Work in a safe and sanitary manner.
Work well with other employees.
Follow and understand all of the “Standard Operating Procedures”.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance at work.
Follow all company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and neat work area.
Responsible for all work being done in a timely fashion and done properly.
Responsible for training new hires.
Complete all paperwork neatly and correctly.
Follow all safety and working rules.
Must have the ability to get along with co-workers, management personnel, customers, vendors, and employees in accordance with the company policies and working rules while ensuring a harmonious and conducive work environment.
Maintain a positive attitude and contribute towards a quality environment.
Excellent regular full time attendance in support of company objectives.

S/he will be expected, each workday to carry 60 pounds on a repetitive basis.
Occasional lifting/carrying above 60 pounds may be required as well.
Pushing/Pulling: Each workday, the sanitation technician frequently pushes and pulls up to, but not limited to, 60 pounds in a repetitive manner.
Occasional pushing 500 pounds on a dolly.
Bending/Stooping: Each workday, the sanitation technician will bend and stoop often.
Squatting/Kneeling/Crawling: Each workday, the sanitation technician will sometimes squat.
