Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to determine project specifications
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and stick welders
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
- Perform welding tasks such as cutting, grinding, and polishing
- Inspect welds for accuracy and quality control
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute projects
- Use hand tools and power tools to build, rig, assemble, and fabricate metal structures
- Operate machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutting equipment
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Skills:
- Proficient in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick)
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of metal fabrication processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols
- Experience with machining tools and equipment
- Familiarity with soldering techniques
- Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise
