00 SUMMARY Boviteq California is looking for a motivated embryologist to join our team in providing advanced reproductive services to clients near Hilmar, CA.
If you have a passion for advanced reproduction, we have a tremendous team and state-of-the-art facility set on exceeding our clients’ expectations.
Our current team is made up of a general manager, one veterinarian, chute side technicians, oocyte-searching technicians, four barn staff team members, and two client service representatives.
Our donor housing center opened in 2021 and features housing for up to 300 donors, milking capabilities for lactating donors, hydraulic chutes, heated collection area and oocyte searching area, contemporary offices, and an on-site IVF laboratory with services through Boviteq USA.
The selected candidate will assist the veterinarian in day-to-day activities with key responsibilities including grading and loading fresh embryos, thawing of frozen embryos, and oocyte searching, oocyte grading, and loading into maturation tubes.
Current OPU days include Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with transfers on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Candidates must be willing to work weekdays and occasional holidays and weekends according to the schedule in place.
Veterinarian technician certification is not required, but if the candidate holds a certification, we will allow for time and money to maintain their certification.
Benefits: Health dental vision 401k Paid vacation ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to: Oocyte searching, grading, and loading into maturation tubes post Ovum pick-up (OPU) Embryo grading, loading for fresh transfer and thawing frozen embryos for transfer.
Occasional searching for embryos posts conventional flush, freezing of conventional embryos and completion of embryo export paperwork.
Record keeping at OPU, embryo recovery, and embryo transfer, maintain and wash/disinfect equipment for OPU and ET Maintaining inventory supplies needed for OPU and ET REQUIREMENTS: HS degree or equivalent with background in dairy/beef industry required.
Veterinarian Technician Degree or Degree in Animal Science or Dairy Science preferred.
1 to 3+ years of embryology experience; willing to train if a good fit High degree of professionalism and desire to connect with clients to ensure best outcomes Excellent teamwork and communications skills; fluent in English Willing to travel within 200 miles of the OPU center regularly, within the US 3-6 times per year Attention to detail and problem solving skills Good hand-eye coordination Self-starter and willing to work independently if needed COMPETENCIES: Attendance Attendance is essential in demonstrating dependability.
A reliable team member is on time for all scheduled shifts and is present as scheduled.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a field or production environment in connection to agriculture business.
Defined on site work schedule.
Indoor and outdoor temperatures with varying temperatures and weather may be experienced.
